parenting.
Pictured below is publisher Wendy Kedzierski (left) accepting the Gold Award for Editorial Excellence from Parenting Publications of America (PPA President and publisher of Washington Parent, Deborah Benke) -- one of five honors that Child Guide earned at the 2006 publishing convention in Philadelphia.

This is the fourth year running that Child Guide has achieved gold status from PPA.
Child Guide, is an award-winning publication that contains stories, calendar items and resources for busy parents and educators in the tri-state region including Frederick, Hagerstown, Winchester, Charles Town, Martinsburg and surrounding areas.
This first-rate family magazine is available for free at 300 locations including elementary schools in seven districts, libraries in six districts, hospitals, real estate offices, stores, day-care centers, doctors' offices, etc.
Child Guide covers topics of universal interest to parents
and educators. Each issue includes parenting advice,
human-interest stories, an extensive calendar of family-friendly
events, interviews with local experts and more.
